In a months time the season will be underway and we’ll have had cricket at The Green – hard to believe, isn’t it?!
Lots has taken place behind he scenes since our last update, too much to list , but needless to say the Committee are busy bees…
League and cup fixtures have largely been confirmed, with the showpiece Challenge Cup throwing up contrasting alternatives for our new men’s and ladies’ captains – Tyron Koen’s men will face the winners of the first round clash between Bangor and Derriaghy at The Green on Saturday 31st May, with a place in the quarter-finals the prize, while the following day it will be Gracie Keenan’s turn as her side will take on the might of cup holders Waringstown. Big weekend.

In terms of personnel, things have largely settled down as the squads settle and get ready for outdoor training to replace the indoors, one boost for the men was Stuart Nelson confirming that he will be ready for 2025 once his football season with Orangefield comes to a close.

Some bad news cam when the Red Storm warning ripped through the practice facilities on the top pitch – thankfully a squad was quickly assembled to recover the mobile cages, but its over to our insurers to help with the main practice nets – hopefully work up there will be done in time for practice.

Most players have had the opportunity to get indoors now, with Steven and the Academy players continuing to put the hours in at every opportunity.

Updates to start coming regularly on here and our socials – we’ll be out there playing in no time!
