Roy Thompson

Times were not easy for the club after the 2nd WW and but for the hard work and perseverance of members like Roy in the late 60s, the club would have been in dire straights. Roy guided the boys XI for which he was well qualified and organised tours in which he partook with great enthusiasm. He was an administrator of the highest calibre, a player for the 1st and 2nd XIs and a great ambassador , who in conjunction with Willie Andrews, Billy Artt, Jim Barry and others changed the direction and pointed North Down into the uplifting 70s.
