Chairman Dean McDonald welcoming Aditya back to The Green
The club is pleased to announce the signing of Aditya Adey for the 2025 season. Aditya, an accomplished all-rounder, returns to our team with a wealth of experience and a promising track record.
Having contributed to our last trophy win in the 2020 season, Aditya’s return is a welcome boost for the club. In 2024, he was the leading wicket-taker in the Northern Cricket Union, claiming an impressive 48 wickets and scoring over 400 runs. Coming off such a successful season, Aditya is sure to bring a lot of confidence to the changing room as we aim for success in the upcoming season.
Aditya is just about to set off for New South Wales, Australia, to further hone his skills during the winter. He’s set to return for the 2025 season ready to make a significant impact on the pitch.

His proven skills will enhance our competitive edge, and we’re eager to see how he integrates with our existing players. Furthermore, his commitment to coaching will make a substantial impact with our young players, sharing his insights and fostering a love for the game. Aditya himself shared his enthusiasm for returning to North Down: “I’m thrilled to be back! I hope to make a big contribution to the team’s success and also help contribute to the wider club by working with the younger players. It’s an exciting time for the club, and I can’t wait to get started!”
