We should start by congratulating Craig Young (Test debutant) and Scott Irvine (team analyst) on helping Ireland to a historic first test match victory achieved recently against Afghanistan, well done guys from everyone at The Green.
It continues to be busy behind the scenes with some highlights being: practice for the men’s teams from 1s – 5s and the youth players too; the Ladies sub-committee meeting last week to confirm their plans for the season ahead; receiving the 1stXI fixtures and cup draws from the NCU – (amazingly we’ve been drawn away in every cup competition!); the Selection group met for the first time to make plans for their important job; ‘Groundforce’ with Michael D started yesterday- hopefully this gets the support it deserves in the coming weeks.
And that is far from everything!

The men’s 1s start on Saturday April 27 at the Castle Grounds against Cliftonville Academy, while the ladies begin the following day with a tricky looking trip to Stormont.
The junior league fixture meetings take place tonight at Stormont after which we’ll know the fixtures for all teams.
Saturday’s ‘Social’ at The Green was a big success with a good turnout of players and the rest, this bodes well for the season ahead we’re now just waiting for a date for the next event!
And finally, Tribal Branding assures us the first batch of new kit will be delivered this week…
