Lots of Activity

Bret, Mo and Daisy

As you would assume in the middle of May, The Green is a buzz with cricket. Every night either a match, practice or both – great to see…

First order of business is to welcome Mohamed Aahil (pictured above with Director of Cricket Bret Mulder and 1stXI Skipper Peter Davison) to the club following his transfer from Instonians, where he has spent the last couple of seasons.

A former Grosvenor GS pupil (so he already knows a few of the NDCC guys) ‘Mo’ is a classy young player, and person, who will fit right into the North Down ethos.

The 19 year-old batter/seamer was Ulster Schools captain last year and has played for NCU representative teams right through to the U19s, played for the Ireland U17s and is really to keen to improve his game and play a meaningful role at The Green.

Welcome to Comber, Mo!

The M2s had a tight win at CIYMS on Tuesday night when they had just 2 runs to spare thanks to runs from Gavin Anderson and Ryan Haire, and 5-for from Tim Carson. Scorecard HERE

The M3s host Drumaness Superkings at The Green tonight (Thursday) – clubhouse will be open so come on down and support.

Lots of fixtures over the weekend too including a big one for the M1s at Ardmore in the Bob Kerr and a history making debut for the 5thXI.

Good luck to all involved!
