Norman Beck

Norman, a left hand batsman and wicketkeeper, first played for the very successful Boys’ XI under coaches Jimmy Boucher and Roy Thompson. In 1965 he scored 65 against Bangor in the Graham Cup and captained the side the following year when they lost to Donacloney in the Final. In 1983 he was part of Peter Artt’s team that won Division 4 Section 2 and the following year he was part of the big tour to Barbados. In 1988 he was again a winner in Raymond Moreland’s Lindsay Minor Cup winning side.  Norman enjoys and has a sound knowledge of the game and has been a loyal supporter from ‘the critics bench’.
