Jonathan Montgomery (RJ)

Jonathan arrived at The Green from Ards CC at the same time, as friend Paul Davidson and was usually the opening bat on the 2nd XI and sometimes played on the 1st XI.  In 1991 he was 12th Man in the brilliant Senior Challenge Cup Final against Woodvale at sunny Downpatrick and was a Irish Senior Cup winner in 1993 against Brigade. In 1999 the 2nds were promoted into Division 2 Section 1 and reached the semi final of the Junior Cup. It was as captain, in 2000, and run maker on the 2nd XI where he made his big contribution to the club.
