Roy Beck

Roy played for the Junior teams on occasions as a batsman and featured in a Minor Cup game against North of Ireland with team mate Robin Mitchell seeing the side home. He also played for the North Down side in the inaugural game against the Titanic Society for the Titanic Bell – later the Barcelona Skip Cup!

Roy was dedicated in the club fund raising effort and religiously traversed the ground with ‘the box’ bringing in funds for the support of the club.

He rarely missed a game watching the 1st XI home or away, and with brother Norman and others basked in the successes during the early 21st century.
